That's interesting to know - thanks for mentioning that =)

Aside from being a mistranslation (as you mentioned), his name could also be related to that of another character, whose name seems to be a "bug" in the game ;P

<del>No - at least, nothing that I can actually confirm to be true. I've searched around on Google and noticed that some say he was probably put in for debugging purposes but wasn't removed afterwards (if so, Error's name makes perfect sense then =P), but other than that, I'm not sure if anyone really knows the answer to that question...</del>

<ins>[EDIT]</ins>
Actually, it seems that, in Mido, one of the people will bring up Error's name, and when you talk to him again, instead of saying:

I AM ERROR.

He will now say:

SOUTH OF KINGS TOMB IN MIDO IS A TUNNEL.

That's about it, though. The question now is, why is he named Error? =P
<ins>[/EDIT]</ins>

Out of curiosity, do you know if anybody's ever figured out what "I AM ERROR" actually was/meant?

…for those of you that have never played Zelda II and have no idea what we're talking about
